Guests say

1 Middleton Cottage receives praise for its comfortable and well-equipped interiors, beautiful design, and peaceful location with easy access to local attractions and walks. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the property's modern amenities contribute to a relaxing stay. Some guests mention thoughtful touches like welcome baskets, enhancing the experience.

Most guests find the cottage clean and well-presented, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few reports of insufficient cleaning, such as dust under furniture and unclean kitchenware, suggest room for improvement in housekeeping standards.

The cottage is lauded for its quiet and peaceful setting with proximity to the town of Dunkeld, scenic walks, and the River Tay. Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas.

Guests generally regard the cottage as comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a homely feel. Some concerns about bed size and heating issues during one stay are noted, but overall, the comfort level is high.

The property is well-equipped with modern bathrooms and a good kitchen. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as heating control problems and shower fixtures needing attention, which affect the score.

Several guests mention a welcome basket, which adds a thoughtful touch to their arrival. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We feel fully recharged after our break. The dogs loved the enclosed garden. There are many things to do in the surrounding area and the scenery is stunning at this time of year as you drive to explore some of the nearby towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and would recommend it.

Modern interior, with well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Two bathrooms was great but ensuite shower head needs looking at - it sprayed all over the room. Easy to walk to and along the river for beaver spotting and some red squirrels out the front. No walkable shop but close to Dunkeld for fish and chips and co op or short drive to the Nisa in the next village. Also highly recommend the Dunkeld vet if needed.
