Beaumaris rests on the Isle of Anglesey situated overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range. It has a medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) and is also a major centre for yachting. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips. Further afield is the port of Holyhead with regular ferry links to Dublin.
