Guests say

Ffrwd Cottage is frequently praised for its cleanliness, charming character, and well-equipped kitchen. The gardens are appreciated, and the location is noted for its quiet, rural setting. Comfort levels are generally high, especially regarding the beds, though some guests desired more comfortable seating. Parking is mentioned as a challenge due to the narrow lane, but not insurmountable. The absence of a TV led to more family interactions, and the property is considered a peaceful retreat.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting the high standard of tidiness and maintenance. The property is described as clean and well-kept, contributing positively to the overall experience.

The location is praised for its picturesque and peaceful rural setting, with proximity to beaches and the island's attractions. However, some guests expressed concerns about the speed and volume of traffic on the nearby lane, which slightly impacts the score.

The beds are frequently described as very comfortable, and the cottage's cosy atmosphere is appreciated. However, several guests noted a lack of comfortable seating for the whole party, which affects the comfort score.

The cottage is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests enjoy the gardens and woodburning stove. However, comments about inadequate hot water, heating issues, and the desire for a microwave suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the cottage's amenities and the helpfulness of the housekeeper, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

About this property

Ffrwd Cottage is a wonderfully sweet holiday cottage sleeping up to four people on Anglesey. It’s nestled in the countryside but it’s only a few miles from lovely Aberffraw beach. This is the perfect setting for anyone who loves walking, cycling or even just wants a little peace and relaxation! Inside the holiday cottage you’ll find a warm welcome, especially in front of the woodburner on cooler evenings!

The living space is open plan and includes the kitchen, sitting and dining areas. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. The washing machine is in a separate utility. The dining and sitting areas both enjoy the warmth from a wood burning stove. There’s a small farmhouse table and two upholstered armchairs.

There is one double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, towel radiator, loo and hand basin.

Outside is a garden that’s laid to lawn and left natural with a pic-nic style table and garden bench to sit and enjoy the countryside. There is one roadside parking space.

Ffrwd Cottage is rare in that there’s no TV - you’ll be able to catch up with those you’re holidaying with and make the most of the peace and quiet. The only sounds will be the beautiful birdsong! Head here if you’re looking to get out and about exploring Anglesey and want somewhere to recharge your batteries in peaceful surroundings.

We catch up with friends and family while on Anglesey and it wasn't possible to provide parking for any car but our own. (this was clear in the booking details but I didn't notice it. Also we left on Friday night as 9am is a very early leaving time)

We had no problem parking and appreciated the peaceful surroundings and beautiful gardens with excellent beaches very nearby. Everything we needed was there, washing machine, heated airer (appreciated after wet walks!), brilliantly equipped kitchen and the cottage itself very cosy - we didn’t miss the tv and would definitely come again!

Gardener arrived on the Tuesday but didn’t clear foliage from entrance path- we got wet when walking past as a result. Gate in need of repair- found card on bookcase from 3 months prior reporting this! Mould found on sheets and pillowcases as packing up. Reported to Sykes and no response received.
