Guests say

Lower Sketty Green Lodge is a charming cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and tranquil location, enhanced by birdsong and proximity to botanical gardens and a beach. While some guests experienced minor issues with maintenance and outdated arrival instructions, the property's setting on the edge of Singleton Park and its cosy atmosphere are consistently appreciated.

Guests generally found the cottage to be very clean, with comfortable bedding and a good shower. However, one review mentioned cobwebs under the bed and a broken mirror, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness score.

The location is highly regarded for its quiet setting and proximity to botanical gardens and the beach. The cottage's edge-of-park placement is a highlight, though one guest noted some noise from nearby council grounds maintenance.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, particularly the bed. Comfort was slightly marred by a lack of information on how to use the heating facilities, but overall, guests were pleased with the comfort provided.

Facilities were generally good, but some guests reported issues with broken appliances, outdated instructions, and a need for better information on using the fires and cooker. Maintenance of outdoor furniture was also suggested.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Fridge freezer draws broken and cut my finger. Fridge freezer hard to open, the surroundings of the property very noisy, and also there's a fixed council grounds maintenance. You hear them go passed every minute of the day, then we had someone knock on the door to cut the grass on the property. Not good when you know Friday we leave, so this could have been done then. Mirror broken in the shower room, this is not at all good as this could have also caused damage to us. This is mainly for a couple not 3 people, as the room upstairs very tiny and im not joking but the worst stay ever, I wanted to leave early but paying what we did to stay there I made the most of it. It was not worth the money at all, saying that there's a lovely Robin nest this was my highlight.

I did not appreciate trying to find the key box in the pouring rain on the dead tree stump, as directed, only to find it was now fixed to the shed. Potential visitors would surely be put off by your description of the cottage heating as one gas fire and one electric fire when it has full central heating. You should leave instructions for using the system.

The facitlities were very good. All that was lacking was a bit more information about how to use the fires and cooker, for example. The host responded to our texts immediately and was very helpful when we queried lighting the gas fire. I would suggest updating the information (the key safe is on the shed not a tree stump) and the outdoor seats and table could do with a clean before the good weather comes. We only wish we could have stayed for longer.
