Snaptrip says

Granny Shells is a well-received holiday lodge praised for its cleanliness, ideal location near the Gower coast, and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciate the well-maintained garden and thoughtful touches like homemade muffins and dog treats, although these are not guaranteed. The property is described as a perfect base for exploring the area, with some minor maintenance issues noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with only one mention of dirty crockery, suggesting an isolated incident rather than a common problem.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to coastal paths and local attractions. However, one guest mentioned difficulty with walking to Mumbles due to arthritic knees, indicating that accessibility may vary depending on individual needs.

Guests find the property comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere and a safe garden for pets. Some guests noted issues with heating and water pressure, but these comments were few compared to the overall positive feedback.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with ample storage and a large bathroom. There are some mentions of maintenance issues like a noisy oven fan and non-working heaters, which slightly affect the score.

Many guests mention thoughtful gestures such as welcome treats for both humans and dogs. While these are warmly received, it is important to note that such extras are a bonus and not guaranteed with every stay.

Cottage was very clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. A lovely big lounge/kitchen. Garden was very attractive and we were close to Mumbles and Oystermouth for shopping, restaurants and cafes.

Delightful bungalow, so relaxing, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely to sit looking over the countryside towards the sea. Our dog enjoyed pottering round the garden which was safely enclosed. The homemade muffins were so nice, not forgetting the doggie treats for our Bonnie! Hope to return soon.
