The Rhug Organic Farm and Restaurant is just ten miles away and is the perfect place to pick up some supplies for the barbecue! Wrapped in countryside, there are a series of enticing walks from the cottage, whilst the Glassblobbery Glassworks and GYG Karting circuit rest just outside the village of Cerrigydrudion for the more adventurous. Both Bala, with its lake and numerous watersports, and Betws-y-Coed, where you can enjoy those peaceful waterfall walks are less than twenty minutes away by car, opening up the Snowdonia National Park and mountain range. Why not drive to Llanberis; a perfect start to the ascent of Snowdon or take the Snowdon mountain railway to the summit for something a little less strenuous. Further afield is Llangollen, another gem of a place attracting tourists from all over the world, where you can paddle in the river, or hop on a boat to be at one with the scenic delights. The village of Cerrigydrudion is situated on the high moorlands in the county of Conwy in North Wales, located between the lakeside town of Bala and charming Betws-y-Coed. Boasting Lakes Brenig and Alwen within a few miles, this peaceful village offers superb walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities amidst the surrounding countryside.
