Porth Eirias offers family activities at the outdoor children's playground; sailing, windsurfing, powerboat and even paddleboard classes at Colwyn Bay Watersports. Colwyn Bay is ideal for touring the varied attractions of North Wales, and offers its own leisure centre, shops, pubs, restaurants and the Welsh Mountain Zoo. This coastal resort is an ideal touring base for North Wales. Set not far away in Llandudno is the Victorian Extravaganza which is also held annually. Virgin Trains travel directly from London Euston to Colwyn Bay and take approximately 2 hours 45 minutes, stopping at Milton Keynes Central, Crewe and Chester.
