Guests say

Guests consistently praise Yr Hen Dy for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning location in North Wales. The enclosed gardens and hot tub are frequently highlighted as delightful features, along with the property's character and views. The welcoming hosts and the property's suitability for both families and pets add to the charm, ensuring a memorable stay.

The property is repeatedly described as clean and tidy, with only a minor note about the presence of spiders, which is understandable given the property's age. Overall, guests seem very satisfied with the cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions and amenities. It serves as a perfect base for exploring North Wales, with easy access to mountains and walking routes.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the property warm and spacious. The cosy feel, log fire, and additional touches like bath robes contribute to a very comfortable experience.

Facilities like the hot tub, log fire, and spacious kitchen are well-received. There are minor comments about the need for more glasses and a light outside by the hot tub, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The host's responsiveness and helpfulness are noted, and treats are mentioned, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Nice secure area for the dogs to run around. Would be lovely if they could add a bbq area! However, a few little things let it down… the house could do with slightly more cleaning, lots of cobwebs! Also one of the larger sofa legs was broken when we arrived so this limited our seating slightly. Lastly, two members of our party got hot tub folliculitis quite badly despite following all the hot tub rules. The hot tub looked slightly discoloured and smelt slightly fusty, we presumed it was ok as we hadn’t been told any different, this got worse over the week we were there - not sure if this is checked every day. We informed the owner and sent them pictures but unfortunately haven’t heard anything back.

The location is perfect, the owner (Rachel) could not do enough for us, it was very clean and looked after. We enjoyed a lovely tour of the working farm, and the hot tub was excellent. We will absolutely be returning!

The owners couldn't do enough to make it special, and Rachael even showed us around the farm which was fascinating. Would highly recommend!!!
