The Old Sweet Shop in Conwy is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and central location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs and the property's proximity to local attractions and dining. The comfort of the accommodation is noted, with a recent sofa update adding to the positive experience. While the presence of a nearby train line is mentioned, it does not detract from the overall satisfaction.
Reviewers consistently mention the property being 'spotlessly clean' and well-presented, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their stay.
The central location is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, with easy access to local amenities, attractions, and dining, despite the mention of a nearby train line which seems to be a minor issue for some.
Comfort is generally praised, especially with the replacement of the sofa. The property is described as having comfortable beds and being welcoming, although one initial comment about the old sofa suggests there was room for improvement.
Facilities are well-regarded, with modern tech and well-equipped kitchens. Maintenance appears to be good, with only minor suggestions for improvements like a bathroom stool and clarity on recycling bins.
Guests are delighted by the welcome packs and the provision of essentials and treats, including items for children and pets. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, although common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.

The hosts for the Old Sweet Shop, Darren and Surita, left us a lovely surprise of some wine, nibbles and treats for our dog and even decorated the house in Halloween decorations and left a massive bunch of Halloween style things for my little boy. This was a lovely touch and set the tone for the rest of the stay. The accommodation is on two floors but also has a little basement with some kids games and a study if you can handle the 5 foot headroom. The space is used extremely well and all fixtures, fittings, equipment and furnishing was a very nice standard and something we would be happy to have in our own home. I was a little confused as to where to park my car but we sorted it out quickly and didnât use it all that much as there is so much to see and do in little Conwy. We went to Llandudno and Bewts-Y-Coed as well, both of which were lovely. Definitely recommended and will more than likely return for a cheeky break at some point in the future. 5 stars from the adults, 5 stars from the child and, if she could speak, 5 stars from our pooch.

The property was spotlessly clean and felt very warm and welcoming. The owners go above and beyond with their welcome pack and a great supply of food essentials for cooking should you need them. Conwy is a beautiful place, very friendly and has everything you need within walking distance from the cottage. Parking is very easy to sort, a very short walk from the cottage and you can pay for a week using the app.

The house is beautiful, well presented, immaculately decorated and maintained and every possible requirement has been thought of and provided. The owners left us a lovely welcome message, wine and nibbles upon entering. Even our dog had treats and toys to choose from. We will definitely be staying here many more times in the future. Thank you.
