Yr Hen Festri is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and stunning views. Guests enjoyed the proximity to local attractions and the peaceful setting. The hot tub was a popular feature, although some noted its location and maintenance issues. The property's upside-down layout and the quality of fixtures received positive comments. While Wi-Fi connectivity was a common concern, the overall experience was one of relaxation and enjoyment.
Guests consistently noted the property to be very clean and immaculate, contributing to a comfortable and inviting stay.
The cottage's location is highly regarded for its quietness, convenience for exploring North Wales, and beautiful views, despite some comments about the local pub being closed.
The property is considered comfortable, with cosy blankets, good quality furnishings, and comfortable beds, though some guests suggested improvements like thicker curtains and better mattresses.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and luxurious bathrooms. However, some guests reported issues with Wi-Fi speed, lack of windows, and the absence of a hot tub that was previously advertised.
The provision of spare wood for the fire, cosy blankets, and a welcoming bottle of wine were appreciated gestures, although it is noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

The property has mountain views, and is close to Caernarfon. The Vestry is an unusual property, ideally for fit guests as stairs are steep and in constant use as it has no toilet on the living, kitchen area floor. The single room and bed are very small, more suitable for child/teenager.

We requested that the wine cooler be looked at as it did not work, the owner visited and promised to come back the following day to sort, but never returned

The house was clean and very inviting. With 3 kids it was spacious and had no issues with WIFI which was great with still having to work during our stay. The house heats up quickly and lovely hot showers! Definitely be booking again next year!
