Perthi Uchaf is a traditional detached farmhouse, furnished to a high standard, set in 3 acres of farmland, in a stunning position on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, 4.5 miles from Llanberis, with walks and the train up Mount Snowdon, and 5 miles from the historic town of Caernarfon with its famous castle.

This property is reached via a short drive, set well back from the road. The beamed lounge has a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove (logs supplied) and plenty of comfortable seating around the large coffee table. TV/DVD and WiFi. The farmhouse kitchen/diner has an oil fired Aga plus modern appliances such as a large fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and electric oven and hob. With its quarry tiled floor and church pew for seating, this room has a traditional Welsh feel about it, ideal for gathering together for a cup of tea and a piece of Bara Brith after a day out walking in the mountains.  On the first floor are three bedrooms all with locally sourced oak floors. The double room is furnished with antique furniture and has an en suite shower room with WC and basin. The two twin rooms have restored Victorian cast iron beds, but with comfortable mattresses! All bedrooms have views over the surrounding farm land. The pretty first floor bathroom has a small Victorian roll top bath with modern shower above. The property has oil fired central heating. Outside there is plenty of parking and a small grassed area with a picnic bench. You are free to explore the owners land and admire their award winning Welsh cattle.

This is a fabulous area from which to explore this part of North Wales, just a few miles to Snowdonia's highest mountains and lakes, with a huge variety of outdoor activities, yet just 8 miles to Anglesey for visiting the stunning coastline and beaches.  The nearest garage/shop is about a mile up the road with a large supermarket about 6 miles away. Caernarfon is very popular for its walled town, narrow streets with independent shops, the marina, stunning castle and Welsh Highland Railway. For adrenaline junkies Zip World zip wire is 8 miles away at Bethesda.  Other local activities include; Greenwood adventure park and Electric Mountain underground tours, pottery painting, cycle hire, boat/kayak hire, rib rides and much much more.
