Guests say

Arwelfa Lodge is a well-regarded holiday rental with stunning views and a prime location in Abersoch, close to beaches and local amenities. Guests have praised the property's comfort, cleanliness, and the thoughtful touch of a welcome gift. While some maintenance issues have been noted, the overall experience remains positive, with many guests planning return visits.

The lodge generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with mentions of it being 'clean', 'well equipped', and 'comfortable'. However, there are comments about cobwebs, dust, and a sewage issue, which suggest room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, restaurants, and shops, with the added benefit of amazing views. The steep hill approach is noted but does not detract significantly from the location's appeal.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a cosy living space. Some minor issues with bathroom fixtures and a leaky toilet are noted but do not seem to overshadow the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a few maintenance issues such as low water pressure, a problematic microwave, and blocked drains. The quick response to a sewage problem is noted, although it did impact one guest's stay.

While the welcome gift of Prosecco is mentioned and appreciated, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, this score is set to null.

The property was very comfortable with a stunning view. It was well equipped although we had trouble operating the oven. In fact we didn’t use it because we couldn’t work out how to use it. We found a manual but this did not seem to apply to the particular model there. Probably it was us although we also tried “Google” We also noted a wet patch of carpet outside the bathroom door which we reported to the handyman and there was a slight smell from that area too However despite these minor issues I would certainly recommend Awelfa Lodge for a holiday and my sisters and I are looking forward to a further visit in the future.

The views from the lodge are outstanding and it is brilliantly located, a shortwalk from the end of the harbour end of the High Street. It does have a steep approach road so may not suit everyone though. The presence of free good wifi was very important to the 3 children in our group as well ourselves and is a must have in today's world. We liked the fact that the Gas Cylinders were checked during our stay (we had to request a new cylinder last year when it ran out and we had no hot water!). The parking availability is great and sufficient for 3 cars (or 2 cars and a dinghy trailer which was our need). The only areas for critical feedback would be that the frame of the main bathroom door is distorted at the bottom and is an interference fit requiring the door to be slammed or forced to shut. (Annoying and the frame needs to be shaved!), both bathroom door handle mechanisms give the impression that the doors can be locked from the inside but they don't actually have any mechanism that locks the door! The loo seat is pretty loose in ensuite bathroom and needs tightening up. It might be worth mentioning this in welcome book (which is pretty out of date and needs updating. It refers to Debra of Abersoch Quality Homes for example!). Clear up to date contact details of who to call in the event of any maintenance or other issues is important. Both in the Welcome Book front page and in the Booking Confirmations.
