Guests say

The Captain's Bank in Porthmadog is a well-regarded holiday rental with a delightful harbour setting. Guests frequently praise its cleanliness, stunning views, and prime location for exploring North Wales. The unique wet room and tasteful decor add to its charm. While some guests mention issues with comfort and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Most guests find the apartment to be very clean, with particular emphasis on the kitchen's cleanliness. However, a few reviews mention issues with cleanliness, such as a smoky oven and a grubby shower floor, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful harbour views and proximity to local attractions and walks. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas, contributing to a high score.

Guests appreciate the en-suite facilities and the apartment's charm, but some find the beds and bedding uncomfortable. The noise from rainfall on the plastic roof and from the apartment above also affects the comfort level for some.

The apartment is generally well-appointed, but several reviews cite issues with maintenance such as non-working lights, a broken fridge shelf, and difficulty with the key safe. These recurring issues suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owners. Therefore, this category cannot be scored, and guests should not expect additional gestures beyond the standard offering.
