Guests say

Vine Cottage is praised for its stunning location in South Wales, offering beautiful views and proximity to hiking routes and Abergavenny town. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including a bottle of local wine, and the dog-friendly environment. While the cottage's peaceful setting is a highlight, some guests suggest that the interior could benefit from refurbishment and a deep clean to enhance comfort.

Guests have mentioned the presence of dust, cobwebs, and the need for a thorough cleaning in some areas. However, the overall impression suggests that the cottage is kept in a reasonably clean state, with some room for improvement.

The location is consistently lauded for its breathtaking views, peacefulness, and convenient access to local attractions, including the vineyard, hiking paths, and the nearby town.

The cottage is described as warm and the bedding comfortable, but some guests found the furniture and bed height less accommodating. The noise from a nearby brook was a concern for one guest.

While the setting is appreciated, guests have noted that the cottage could benefit from some upgrades, such as better kitchen utensils, cookware, and maintenance of appliances. The lack of a freezer was also mentioned.

The welcoming gesture of a bottle of local wine is well-received, indicating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

We would have found a potato masher helpful, not everybody eats chips or takeouts.

Could roam all over vineyard on side of mountain. Cottage small but well appointed. I would visit again.

In the middle of nature, nothing but the sound of birds and the little river in front of the cottage. But town is close… and it is a little nice town. You can make great walks in the surroundings of the cottage. We went up to sugar loaf mountain. The most beautiful views on the top.
