Penhow is a small, picturesque village in South Wales, located between Caldicot and Newport. The settlement has a convenience store, a restaurant (The Rock & Fountain), and a national nature reserve (Penhow Woodlands National Nature Reserve) in addition to its famous castle, which is often believed to be the oldest inhabited castle in all of Wales. A trip to Caldicot isn't too far away, and once there, you can enjoy the town's many restaurants and pubs, including the nearby Haywain and Cross Inn, as well as a variety of Chinese, Indian, and fish and chips takeout options. Lodge was as described and is a perfect hideaway for a family set in absolutely stunning surroundings. Owners were lovely hosts, greeting us when we 1st arrived with our welcome hamper of fresh eggs off the farm, milk and welsh cakes. Would recommend to others and the best way I would describe it would be at Glen View Farm you feel like you are in the middle of no-where and completely away from it all but you are no more than 15 minutes away from any amenities you need including some cracking pubs in the vicinity.

Lovely idyllic location and very quiet. A very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space in the lodge. Hot tub is immaculate. We couldn't of asked for more. We loved our time here.
