Casa Mia is a well-received cottage in South Wales, praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and comfort. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting, proximity to coastal walks, and the views of Strumble Head. The property is well-equipped, though some minor suggestions for improvements were noted. The garden is appreciated by pet owners, and the owners are commended for their hospitality.
The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with only one mention of ants upon arrival which was quickly resolved. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' enjoyment.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, beautiful scenery, and proximity to coastal paths and wildlife. Some guests found it a bit remote, but this seems to be a positive aspect for most.
The cottage is generally considered comfortable, with mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, there are comments about the sofa being uncomfortable and suggestions for better towels and wardrobe space.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and maintained. Some guests noted the lack of a DVD player and issues with small towels, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
While guests mention a welcome pack with Welsh cakes, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency or guarantee of such gestures. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, but the thoughtfulness of the owners is noted.
This pretty sea view cottage is in a fantastic location, just over a mile from Strumble Head with its lighthouse and bird observatory. Strumble Head is one of the most beautiful places in Pembrokeshire, perfect for spotting porpoises and seals, as well as the ponies which roam free over this headland. The rugged coastline is the closest point to Ireland and the coastal views are simply spectacular.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined nearby and the Preseli Hills are within easy reach of the cottage, making it a perfect base for walkers.
Goodwick, Fishguard, St Davids, Porthgain and Newport are all a short drive away and offer a range of amenities from eateries to pubs and galleries to individual shops and craft workshops.
There are plenty of beaches to explore, including the smugglers' coves at Abermawr and Aberbach and larger beaches at Newport, Whitesands and Newgale.
Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.

The bed linen is very dated and worn, needs replacing. This is letting down the rest of the cottage.

We feel that the decor is tired and could do with updating, the settee sags for example. The towels are thin and small, no excuse nowadays to not have larger & fluffier towels, Iâm a size 12 and couldnât fasten them round me! 2nd bathroom not having a shower holder is inconvenient and gets water everywhere! I struggled to open windows, only my husband could open them. A larger, better TV would be good too. We enjoyed our though and enjoyed Casa Mia very much, just needs some tweaks
Alexandra
