Guests say

Derlwyn is a well-received cottage in Newport, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and cosy atmosphere, making it a popular choice for repeat visits. The garden adds to its charm, and the property's proximity to local amenities and coastal walks is a highlight. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvement are noted, the overall experience is very positive.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotless and clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The property's tidiness contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal for visitors.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for being quiet yet convenient, close to the town centre, amenities, and coastal walks. Its position is a significant factor in guests' enjoyment.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and a warm environment. Some guests find the upstairs space a bit cramped, but overall, the cottage provides a comfortable stay.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, there are comments about inadequate lighting, the need for more mugs and cutlery, and minor maintenance issues like the gas hob ignition not working. These points suggest room for improvement.

While guests mention a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency or quality of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided.

It is very comfortable, extremely clean and very well equipped. Having a lovely patio area and garden and being in an excellent location makes it so fantastic that we've booked again for next year.

Good location in centre of Newport. The kitchen needed a whisk and spare food waste bags.

Derlwyn suits us perfectly and the facilities are ideal for our golden retriever. The double mattress could do with replacing , it’s isn’t the most comfortable .Otherwise all good . Thank you for the welcome pack .
