Trefasser is a well-regarded cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location in Newport, close to local amenities and scenic walks. The property boasts a lovely garden, spacious interiors, and is equipped with a range of facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, although some noted the absence of a welcome pack.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is highly praised for being central yet quiet, with easy access to shops, pubs, restaurants, and coastal paths. Its proximity to both the village and natural attractions makes it an ideal spot for visitors.
Many reviews mention the property's comfort, noting the quality of furnishings and the cosy atmosphere. However, a few comments about the firmness of mattresses and the condition of sofas suggest there is room for improvement.
The cottage is well-equipped with a new kitchen, games, and DVDs, and has a large garden with good furniture. Some criticisms about dated bathrooms and basic TV facilities slightly lower the score.
Guests appreciate the useful information and amenities provided by the owners, but some were disappointed by the lack of a welcome pack, which, while not guaranteed, is a considerate gesture often expected by visitors.

The cottage had everything we needed and more. Right next to a variety of shops and pubs and cafés, yet still very peaceful. A short walk to beaches, river and moorland. We're thinking of booking again.

The location of Trefasser right in the heart of Newport was a big plus.

The house had everything we needed, a home from home and so welcoming. The sun streams in, in the morning giving the house such a bright aspect and overlooking a lovely private garden. The owners of Trefasser are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Due to us leaving a few items in a cupboard on our departure, we had to rush back to claim them, so got to meet the housekeeper who was a delightful lady. We loved every moment of our stay and can highly recommend.
