About this property

Broad Haven is one of the best family holiday spots in Wales. It has a beautiful beach suitable for surfing and swimming, a small supermarket, and a good pub. It's laid-back and relaxing, with enough going on to make it interesting. Pen-Coed is a two-bedroom holiday cottage minutes from the sand, Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and amenities. Enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony before wandering down to check out the surf and decide whether you'll spend your day at the beach, visiting attractions like Folly Farm and St David's Cathedral, or something adventures like coasteering and cliff diving. This self-catering property is excellent for families or couples and is also dog-friendly.

Pen-Coed is a welcoming holiday home in Broad Haven on the Pembrokeshire Coast. It has a lovely leafy outlook and a location less than a five-minute walk from the beach, village shop, and waterfront Galleon Inn pub. The self-catering cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms. It's great for families and good for couples who enjoy having the extra space. Child and dog-friendly, it's surrounded by trees and opposite a nature reserve. Ease into the day with the gentle sound of birdsong as you drink your tea on the verandah and drift off to sleep to the soundtrack of the waves gently rolling into the shore.

If you've been to Broad Haven before, you'll understand why it holds a special place in the hearts of holidaymakers. If you haven't, well, you're about to fall head-over-heels! Outside of the school holidays, the village is tranquil, with barely anyone on the flat sandy beach where dogs are welcome all year round at the south end and some restrictions from May to September on the northern stretch. It's popular for surfing and swimming, and kids love exploring the rock pools at low tide. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path gives walkers some of the most incredible views in Wales, though possibly none as beautiful as the beach at sunset - a sight not to be missed!

Adventurous souls can fill their days with surfing, paddleboarding, coasteering and cliff diving at the Blue Lagoon. If you're more of a foodie, your tastebuds will appreciate being 25 minutes from Narbeth's excellent produce market held every Friday morning in Queens Hall and the town's choice of great places to eat. A boat trip to see the puffins on Skomer Island will be a highlight of your holiday, and you can't miss taking the children to Folly Farm. Other attractions include Oakwood Theme Park, St David's Cathedral, and Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII and the beginning of the most famous royal dynasty in British history.

The owners welcome bookings for Pen-Coed all year round. The fantastic setting and variety of sights and activities within a small radius make it perfect for a fun and relaxing holiday.
