What our customers say about their holidays

Sykes misled us as it clearly states on the listing that it is in Broadhaven when it's actually miles from Broadhaven.

We made the booking on that basis so we were immediately disappointed with the location as we'd visited the area 3 yeaes ago and wanted to return there and not stay at Hasguard Cross. The shop didn't actually stock anything so it is pointless to promote a shop nearby as the nearest shop is miles away in Broadhaven. The house itself was nice, needed a little TLC in places but it was spotlessly clean apart from flies under the beds in the ground floor bedroom. It is classed as sleeping 8 which it does comfortably but there is not room for 8 to watch TV on the sofas. We were cold in the house and had no way of drying clothes or towels. I think there should have been information there in regards to the heating as we didn't get a response from emails sent requesting help with this from the owner or Sykes but apparently, as we found out on the last day, the boiler was in the garage next door and had to be turned on there. We were asked to complete a disclaimer for the hot tub which we did and it said the hot tub would be checked for the correct chemical balance numerous times during our stay but this was not checked for the whole week we were there. I think the property would benefit from a washing line and also ice cube trays. The little bar in the caravan park next door is lovely and serves delicious food a few nights each week, has a pool table too.

We had a brilliant stay at Ocean house.

The whole house was absolutely beautiful with lovely large rooms. We took all our own but loved all the little extra touches...coffee, sugar and tea bags. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs even washing powder was supplied. There is even an extra little fridge in the utility room wee used this as our beer fridge lol. Massive chest freezer for all your frozen things ice lollys in our case (we were blessed with hot hot hot weather) the hot tub was a massive hit with the kids lovely Dai checked the levels everyday so it was always clean and topped up. The BBQ was a great extra too so had a few good nights out sitting on the raised decking eating drinking and watching the sun do down. We were lucky to see the meteor shower while we were there as there is not much light pollution around. Would highly recommend staying at Ocean House it was worth the 8hour journey down from Scotland, beautiful house , lovely staff and plenty to do round about. Will certainly be back.

Hello, we had a lovely holiday, however there are a few points of improvement that we'd like to mention: 1.

A tumble dryer would be appreciated when we have 10 people, including 4 children 2. Anti slip floor covering/mats around the hot tub is essential, as one member of our family fell & hit his head, ending up in A&E 3. Downstairs bedroom had a sloping roof from the staircase, which cut across the door which was a hazard 4. The sloping rooves are also in the 2 bedded room which again are a hazard for banging your head, which happened a few times 5. We did wonder why the logburner wasn't operational, even though it is inserted into the house details online. 6. We have contacted you about a blanket that we left behind. We were told that this would be looked into & you would notify us either way but unfortunately we havent heard anything from you, even though we know that the property is empty for November. Kind regards Mr & Mrs Woolgar

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Piglet Cottage and it was a fantastic experience.

The property itself was superb and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hot tub and the garden, along with the outdoor space, were real highlights and made our holiday extra special. Piglet Cottage is excellently located, with easy access to beautiful beaches and charming surrounding villages. A special mention must go to the owner, Lisa. She was incredibly helpful and lovely, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Her warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience. We would definitely recommend Piglet Cottage for anyone looking for a great holiday retreat. We had a wonderful time and if we ever visit South Wales for future holidays would definitely book a repeat visit.

The property is in a lovely location with the balcony overlooking the beach and beautiful sunsets.

the house itself is lovely but we found a few things lacking or awkward. the kitchen is minimally stocked for when cooking for a large family....no serving bowls, the sharp knives werent exactly sharp. with the living room being upstairs some form of stairgate would have been helpful. The biggest thing was garden access is either through a bedroom or out the front door and round the house and this was also where you had to carry refuge to put it in the garage. Some areas could do with a deep clean as there was quite a lot of dust and cobwebs. the shower heads had limescale build up. the instructions around the house and in the folder were worded in a way that didnt feel welcoming.
