Set in a 100-year-old Welsh cottage with thick stone walls, Maes y Gwaelod is 1 mile from the village of Llanwrtyd Wells and 3 miles from the train station. The cottage is nestled in 20 acres of scenic countryside and situated down a quiet country lane which leads to the forest trails of the Cambrian mountains.

Free WiFi is provided in each room at Maes y Gwaelod, as well as a private bathroom, flat-screen TV and countryside views. There is a lounge with a log burner and a TV, exclusively for guests. The property is also home to dogs and horses which live in the on-site barn. Guests are also free to bring their own horses which can be accommodated.

Packed lunches can be provided on request.

Horse riding, cycling and hiking can be enjoyed in the local area, and staff can take you to the starting points. Mountain bikes can be stored in the barn and free on-site parking is available. The B&B is situated only 12 miles from the Royal Welsh Show ground.
