Penlone Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, tranquil location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts, and the property's proximity to scenic walks and wildlife. While some minor issues with kitchen equipment and the Rayburn cooker are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a well-maintained cottage with a homely feel.
The cottage receives consistent commendations for its spotless condition upon arrival. Guests are impressed with the level of cleanliness, which contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal of their stay.
The cottage's location is celebrated for its peace and proximity to beautiful countryside, Elan Valley, and local walks. The presence of wildlife and scenic views adds to the charm, although the narrow access lanes are noted.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy sofas, beds, and a great shower. The warmth of the cottage and the cosy log burner enhance the comfort level, despite some feedback on the Rayburn cooker's practicality.
While the cottage is generally well-equipped, there are remarks about the lack of certain kitchen items and the Rayburn cooker's suitability. The garden room and the presence of Wi-Fi are positives, but the fluctuating internet speed and some missing standard items slightly detract from the overall facilities rating.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome gifts and well-maintained bird feeders, which guests appreciate. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We've used Sykes Holidays now for many years, but this cottage is the best we've stayed in by far. Immaculate throughout & very spacious & well equipped. Lovely comfy beds, made for a great nights sleep .Plenty of space in the garage to store our bikes ( there were 4 of us ) .Lots or walks & cycle trails directly from the door so no need to use the cars. Great little pub about 1 mile away The Triangle very friendly & good food. 5 Star . Sue Trevor Jane & Geoff
