Bryn Afon is a well-received cottage in Caernarfon, praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as complimentary items, and the property's proximity to local walks and amenities. While some mention a damp smell and difficulty with heating, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as clean and tidy. Only one mention of a damp smell slightly affects this otherwise excellent perception.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to local walks, pubs, and shops, as well as being situated in a beautiful village, making it an ideal base for exploring.
Comfort is frequently commended, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living areas cosy, especially with the wood burner. However, some guests had issues with the heating system and the damp smell, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are generally seen as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and good furnishings. However, a few guests struggled with the Smart TV and suggested improvements like a washing machine and better heating, indicating room for maintenance and upgrades.
Guests frequently mention and appreciate the thoughtful gestures, such as the provision of tea, coffee, milk, and cake. While these are warmly received, it's important to note that such complimentary items are a courtesy and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

All the amenities are within easy walking distance. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. We would have liked some ancillary form of heating downstairs as there is only a wood burner which is a problem when you are in & out during the day particularly in recent chilly weather.
