Guests say

Can Yr Afon is a charming, quirky lodge with a stunning garden and river setting, ideal for dog owners and nature lovers. Its unique character and prime location in Caernarfon make it a memorable stay, though some guests suggest that updates and maintenance could enhance the experience.

The lodge is generally well-received for cleanliness, with mentions of it being 'beautifully clean'. However, suggestions for a deep clean and maintenance indicate room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with a magical garden and proximity to local attractions, making it perfect for exploring the area.

Guests find the lodge cosy and the central heating effective, but some reviews mention a need for more comfortable seating and the small size of one bedroom, suggesting varied levels of comfort.

Facilities are appreciated, such as the well-equipped kitchen and multiple bathrooms, but several reviews call for updates and repairs, particularly in the kitchen and showers.

While some guests missed a welcome pack, there is not enough consistent information on thoughtful touches or gifts to accurately assess this category.

If that is the ground floor we should have been told that the entrance was not ground floor. We have used Sykes for many holidays, but this time we’re cheated of our annual holiday, and are extremely disappointed with the lack of interest from both Sykes and the owner.

House fits the cottage in the woods vibe- rustic/shabby chic. Family of 4 and 2 dogs stayed for 4 nights. Well equipped kitchen. Having 3 toilets and 2 showers with plentiful hot water was useful. Could have stayed forever!
