About this property

Nestling in the Nantlle Valley, surrounded by dramatic, steep hillsides and watched over by Snowdon, Tan Meredydd is a perfectly located holiday cottage for outdoor pursuit enthusiasts. Nantlle Valley has so much to offer from gentle walks to more challenging ridges, and there's also the challenge of Snowdon itself!

In the sitting room, comfy sofas are set around a wood burning stove, TV and Blu Ray DVD. There is also a DAB radio and good selection of DVDs.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, wood burning range oven and a table with benches. There is a door to rear courtyard.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and a bathroom which has a bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin.

Upstairs there is a twin bedroom.

There is a second small 'chill out' area upstairs with books and a reading chair with views through the velux windows over the opposite mountain ridge and a TV (to play DVDs only).

There is a large enclosed garden laid to lawn, and shrubs and fruit bushes to the front with a rustic swing set. To the rear is a large patio area with garden furniture. There is an anchor panel for bikes and parking for 3 cars on the driveway.

Mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, beaches and historic towns are all easily accessible from Tan Meredydd. Attractions such as the Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon castle, Zip World and Bounce Below are also just a short drive away.

This charming holiday cottage has been sympathetically restored and is in keeping with its surroundings. The wood burning stove in the sitting room and the wood-burning range in the kitchen/diner plus storage heaters make Tan Meredydd an all-year-round destination.

Please note that the private water supply at the cottage is from a spring using a reverse UV osmosis system and is perfectly safe to drink.

While the property does not allow dogs it is not suitable for guests with pet allergies.

Mynydd Drws y Coed is set on the Nantlle Ridge, part of the Snowdonia National Park. Very popular with climbers and scramblers alike, although you do need a good head for heights. The valley below is ideal for cycling and walking if you don't fancy the heady heights of the ridge.

Lovely cottage, quiet and convenient. The poor Wifi prevent us from working too much, which can be seen as a advandage.

Kitchen was very well equipped. The walls are very thick we didn’t need to use the log burner was really warm. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. The birds and sheep was the only thing you could hear. Lovely walks nearby. A must are the ice creams in beggeret we ate in the Prince Llewelyn a couple of times.
