Guests say

Pen y Bont is a cosy cottage praised for its peaceful, picturesque setting and scenic location close to nature and walks. Guests enjoyed the property's charm and the owner's helpful communication. Some concerns were raised about cleanliness and maintenance, but the overall experience was enjoyed, with particular appreciation for the cottage's ambience and surroundings.

Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, including a mouldy and damp bathroom, and a microwave that needed cleaning upon arrival. These concerns suggest that a more thorough cleaning is needed.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to nature, with easy access to walks, waterfalls, forests, and the sea. The scenic river view adds to the charm.

The cottage is described as cosy and warm once heated, with a comfortable setting. However, initial issues with heating and some non-working sockets and lamps have affected the comfort level for some guests.

Facilities are generally adequate, with essentials provided. However, maintenance issues such as non-working sockets and lamps, and the need for a bathroom refit, have been noted. The owner's responsiveness to issues like replacing a microwave is a positive aspect.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the owner, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Unfortunately the cottage is in dire need of a thorough clean and some TLC in particular the bathroom. On arrival I had to clean the microwave in order to heat up our previously prepared dinner! The cottage provided all essentials however and we did enjoy our stay overall.

Enjoy the river and mountains. But sadly it’s needs deep cleaning in many areas and some equipments to be replaced . We enjoy our holiday. Hope owners will arrange to fix the matters.
