What our customers say about their holidays

Fabulous accommodation with everything you could possibly need.

Quiet and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking Bradwell after a long day's walking. The village of Bradwell was spot on too with a choice of pubs, a chippy, excellent bakery and a co-op. Plenty of buses too into nearby Castleton, Hope and Hathersage (all worth a visit), and can really recommend the bus ride over to Bakewell (all for £2 at present!). Walk the Monsal Trail whilst you're there, especially the section between Monsal Head and Miller's Dale. We parked the car up when we arrived and never moved it till we left. So much great walking on the doorstep. Too many to mention but especially enjoyed Lose Hill and Mam Tor above Castleton, Stanage Edge above Hathersage, and The Limestone Way and Cave Dale above Castleton. Watch out for the paragliders on the hill behind The Loft, we counted 36 one day!

The Loft at Bradwell in the Peak District was fabulous.

If you are looking for total peace and quiet overlooking the fields in a small, cosy, first floor studio apartment with even a balcony, table and chairs, this is for you! The fittings and furniture were high quality and it was tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Although small, there was plenty of definition between the sleeping, watching telly and kitchen area with a fab walk in power shower. It was private and only a stones throw to the village with its pubs serving gorgeous food and a few shops. Ideal for walkers but we just wanted peace and quiet after a hectic Christmas. Couldn't have been nicer and the weather was great too.

We are familiar with bradwell village and was greatly disappointed at the access lane congested with neighbours parked cars, wheelie bins kept out on tight steep lanes, not good for guests who do not like poor vision on bends !

. The property is equipped but not special the shower is very very poor. The night of our arrival we were kept awake until 3.30am when we contacted the owner , due to a garage door being left open and the wind was slamming it shut. We received no apology for this in fact we never saw the owner during our stay. It would be help to guests to let them know at the same time of key code, that the co-op store in village is under big refurbishment. Also within the accommodation grounds there was serious pot holes ,this property is not ideal for guests who care for their vehicles.

We loved staying at The Loft.

there was a lot of thought and care put into the layout and details to enhance our stay. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful but you need to be a good driver to navigate the tight lanes and reverse only, back down the drive before you can turn. The one thing that was the only huge disappointment was the shower. You either get a small flow of scolding water or a decent flow of tepid to cold water, and after a day's hike you really need a good shower! The couple who run the Loft could not be more thoughtful and kind. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous property, very peaceful and scenic.

This was our second visit, and it did not disappoint. The accommodation is very well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The balcony overlooking the fields and village is a real bonus it is a wonderful spot to watch the antics of the animals in the field, no matter what time of day. The village caters for all needs, very warm welcome at the Shoulder of Mutton who serve delicious food following our walks. We have already booked again for next year. A big thank you to our hosts,Gill, and her family for the warm welcome and treats. Elaine and Steve
