What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ashley - Verified booking

Little Haven overall was a wonderful property that looked exactly like the photos.

It was very clean inside and a special shout out to Darren who cleans and services the hot tub, he keeps it in tip top condition and is very knowledgeable passing on reassurances that its safe to use. Now for the accommodation itself there are many pro's: -very clean inside -spacious -lovely big fridge and washing machine -plenty of cookware in good condition overall -fantastic location -parking onsite -very bright and airy inside -comfy sofa's There were just a couple of cons which unfortunately did affect our stay: -the mattresses were very sunken on both sides and you could feel every spring. It did make for a very uncomfortable week unfortunately which affected our sleep and resulted in the last couple of nights sleeping on the sofa. -no tv in the double room. Not the end of the world but would make a difference if one was present. Overall we would happily book again if there were new mattresses on the beds or at least some foam or cushioned toppers to make the beds bareable. Property, location and garden/hot tub were fabulous otherwise.

What a great well positioned, well stocked and clean apartment in walking distance of all amenities.

We had 4 glorious days at this lovely apartment. As somebody who struggles when away with the comfort of beds and especially pillows I cannot fault either they were both so comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. However this was marred by the fact that the bedroom window is sealed shut and cannot be opened. It was very windy two of the nights we were there and the wind was howling around the back court yard and even though the window is sealed it didn’t stop the draft coming in which made the blind bang against the window so if a light sleeper this may not be so good. Wasn’t a lover of the bath and shower bath was very deep and uncomfortable no free shower head. Could do with some extra/bigger towels as the small hand towels are no good for washing long hair. We would recommend buying a parking permit for the car park a 2min walk away as parking on the street is not always possible. With all this said we still had had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a stay here due to the fantastic location.

This was a really beautiful apartment a d the owner clearly has a flare for interior design as the decor and details were lovely throughout.

The apartment was not short if anything, it had all you would need for your stay plus more! The outside space is fab, lots if room, lovely garden and decking area, lots of seating, we were blessed with weather so spent ot if time enjoying the outside space. The hot tub was a fab added bonus, and we used this most days we were here, big amd spacious with lighting for evenings under the stars, unfortunatley not all of the jets worked which was a shame but not enough of an issue to ruin our time, and I'm sure we could have called maintenance if needed and it would be fixable. Location wise, its fab, shops and eateries close by and old shanklin is stunning with lovely pubs. The esplanade is not fat to walk or there is plenty of park if you drove and its gorgeous down there. The apartment is a shared block, but has a private entrance and the garden area is very private and we didn't find privacy an issue. I have already reccomended to friends and would happily return to stay again. :)

We really enjoyed staying in the flat, it was conveniently situated and had an excellent sea view, the kitchen was good and well equipped.

There were however some drawbacks that we would like to mention, and we noticed had already been referred to by other customers. Firstly the towels were totally inadequate, they were very thin and soaked after one use. Moreover, the flat has no facility for drying anything once the radiators are turned off. We had to buy supplementary bath towels during our stay in order to dry ourselves after a shower. The wifi was very slow and kept cutting out-this may be beyond the owner's control of course. The owner had left some DVDs but there was no remote controller for the DVD player and no controls on the player. I texted one of the contact numbers given to ask about the controller and was disappointed to receive absolutely no acknowledgement of my text, let alone any information. Realistically, parking outside the flat is not possible. It would be useful to give more details of the tourist parking permit which is good value

The arrangements were organised very well and we met Mr Brady at the allotted time.

The cottage was comfortable for the two of us, it would have suited a couple and a child, but I think four people would have struggled. We did not cook during our stay, but the kitchen equipment seemed to be satisfactory, although it would be very useful to have a small freezer, even just for making ice within the fridge. A bit more shelving space in the bathroom and a larger shower head would also be useful. But the very hot water was ideal. We used the cafe next door for coffee/tea/Sunday lunch - a roast carvery and for a breakfast. All very good. The walk into Yarmouth is not far, which again is a bonus. There is a small stretch of beach that is slightly difficult to walk on due to the stones and if walking at night, you do need a torch. All in all we had a very enjoyable week and this was an ideal quiet base to get out and about to see the Island.
