What a wonderful place to stay for a complete rest! The comfort, care and thoughtfulness provided in Garden View by the owners for guests is outstanding. The property is very airy, light and well equipped. We really appreciated the welcome tray with homemade preserves and fresh eggs, tea and coffee. How wonderful also, to be allowed to walk around the extensive gardens of their home, which we loved as gardeners. Parham is a quiet hamlet, but ideally placed to use as a base. We enjoyed the local walks Sue mentioned and our visit to the local garden centre for a lovely coffee and scones, not to mention the well stocked nursery. Brochures galore of Suffolk destinations were on hand to browse. The spiral staircase was not an issue and car parking excellent. We would love to visit again.

I booked The Folly so I could join family on holiday. I was staying here alone and it was perfect for one. The property is in a good location- very near the high street and a few minutes walk to the beach. The Folly is light & airy. Blinds keep the space private from another holiday property across the yard. There are two pull-out beds which are surprisingly comfortable and easy to use. The bathroom is small, but everything works well. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, I must admit I didn’t cook many meals. The sitting area is pleasant and the sofas are comfortable too. Everything I needed for a week’s stay.

No details of booking in times and booking out times were available on site until AFTER payment to letting agent. Rigid time limits with no reply service unless emergency of letting agent Incessant same texts on day in and day out from letting agents regarding said times - once is enough. However the owners of the property were lovely and very accommodating and actually let us stay later on the Monday despite letting agent insisting on 9am leaving which is far too early. 4pm is also very late to check in. It does not take 7 hours to clean a property!

We had a nice stay in The Folly, we were very lucky with the weather which makes for an even better stay. Beds were quite comfortable and all bedding/towels and tea towels were clean and fresh. Would have liked a little bedside table to put my phone, drink and specs on. A good supply of kitchen utencils/crockery were supplied should you decide to cook. Perfectly situated for the town, beach and harbour. We stayed for 7 nights but think it is more suitable for a 3/4 day break, The parking space is small, we took our MIni but a Corsa size car would fit.

We have stayed in a large number of holiday rentals, and this is one of the very best. It is a lovely oasis set in gorgeous gardens, with high ceilings and large windows. Thoughtful touches abound, and we lacked for nothing. We appreciated the generously provided eggs, vegetables, and flowers. We had hesitated to book it because of the exterior spiral staircase, but it was not an issue at all, and we would absolutely book this cottage again as our first choice in the area, and heartily recommend it to those looking for peace and beauty.
