Stunning cottage perfectly positioned in a beautiful fishing village.
Absolutely loved this little cottage, 2 mins from Aberdovey seafront, harbour and beach. Very cosy with both central heating and a wood burner, has a good size fridge/freezer, full size oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Iron and hairdryer provided. Although compact it is more than adequate as a holiday cottage, the bathroom is very small but has a good hot shower, the only thing my husband struggled with was no mirror in front of the sink to shave (there is a mirror but on a different wall.) The rear yard is small and only got the sun in the morning when we were there, it did have a washing line which was great for drying bits whilst you were out for the day. No parking at the cottage but a permit is provided for the main car park and you can stop outside to unload. We had great weather when we were there, we walked the Roman Road, had fish and chips, sat on the beach and watched the sunset, walked up to the bandstand, got the train to Tywyn (not much there), walked the Panorama Walk on the ridge of the Happy Valley to the Bearded Lake, drove to the Dolgoch Falls, Dolgellau and Barmouth. Did the Wednesday market at Machynlleth then drove to Aberystwyth walked from the harbour round to the Cliff Railway and took a train up the mountain (amazing views) Also did a day to Aberaeron which is lovely. So many places to visit in a stunning part of Wales. We highly recommend this cottage and you certainly wonât be disappointed if you book a stay.

What a fabulous house!
We siblings have been spending an annual week together for more than ten years. Our main requisites are at least four en suites, comfortable seating, plenty of parking space and a pool table. Brynmorwydd did us proud with the added bonus of a sea view! As others have said itâs a truly special house, we especially enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory after an invigorating walk along the beach. Some extra info: The kitchen is very well equipped with good sized pans, trays, serving dishes, nice crockery, glasses and cutlery. (you may need to bring your favourite sharp knife and maybe a hand mixer if necessary - there is a small blender however). Thereâs a large American style double fronted fridge/freezer plus a wine cooler and an additional counter height freezer. Thereâs two kettles, two toasters and a slow cooker! Thereâs a badminton set and boules, ideal for the large level lawn. We enjoyed a good evening meal at the Seabreeze restaurant in Aberdovey which we are happy to recommend. Also the Trefeddian hotel down the road ( quite a bit more than 50 yards) welcomes non residents for meals and the use of their facilities (apart from the swimming pool) so long as you enjoy a drink there (at least!) All in all we had a super time and wholeheartedly recommend this property.

Brynmorwydd is exactly as described but it is difficult to fully emphasise the spectacular location.
Perched on a great vantage point on a hill it overlooks a golf course and the ocean. It takes just 5 minutes to reach the golf course by foot. There are a number of paths across the gold course which takes you onto a sandy beach. When the tide is out the beach is somewhere between 70-100 mtrs wide and you can easily walk 3 kms along the beach towards the town of Tywyn. It you are a group of golfers then it is perfect, if you are a family with a dog it is equally perfect and offers great walks both around the beach area or hill walks behind the house. Coming out of the lock down there were challenges preventing dining out but the local restaurants did some amazing speciality meals for collection and with some astute study of the local shop hours we were never without any essentials. It is less than two hours drive to Llanberis or Pen y Pass so easily allows a climb of Snowdon on the same trip. There are some waves which encourage the surfers but take a wet suit, even on the warmer days there can be a cool breeze as elsewhere ion the UK. Dave the owner is very helpful and down to earth. Fully recommend this cottage and location...!

It would really help to have a plan of each holiday accommodation offered on your website.
For disabled or less mobile tourists it can be crucial as to whether the bathroom is on the same floor as the bedroom, and whether there is a toilet on the ground floor. We had to take a gamble and luckily it worked out OK. Ty Gwyn is very well refurbished with really careful attention to detail retaining much of the original character and atmosphere of the cottage - both stylish and relaxed. It is much bigger inside than it appears outside. It is well equipped and comfortable and the owners provided some essential supplies (milk, butter and bread) on our arrival which was very welcome. There is also a parking permit for use at various carparks in the region, which was very useful. The wi-fi has a strong signal. The owners provide a very practical guide to the cottage with clear instructions on every aspect of the stay, as well as useful information about local services and amenities. Copperhill Street itself is rather noisy, but also within easy walking distance to the whole town, harbour and beach.

Our holiday at Ty Gwyn was very pleasurable, the cottage is well equipped and comfortable.
The only negative comment to make is that the courtyard is not available to your dog to relieve itself. I had rang Sykes before the balance of the holiday was taken from the bank account to question this after reading a review which said the same. After Sykes had communicated with the owner we were told that there was not a problem, however, within the information pack it stated that the courtyard was not to be used by your dog as a toilet. There was also a notice on the back door leading to the courtyard stating the same. Our dog will not "go" on the lead so, therefore, it meant we were up and out, on the beach around 6 am every morning and also last thing at night. As it was our holiday it would have been nice to have later morning starts. It might be helpful if this information was given within the description of facilities as I don't think we would have booked this cottage had we known about this restriction.
