What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jeff - Verified booking

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No.

35 West End. The unit was perfectly charming from the beautiful decor to all of the quirks a centuries old home would have. From the gorgeous stone to the low ceilings to the beams overhead, we felt like we had gone back in time… but with the conveniences of modern day. Navigating the stairs was a little tricky in the beginning, but we got the knack for them after a couple of days. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it all worked well. Dianne left a fresh container of milk, delicious lemon cookies, and coffee/tea for us to arrive to. That was very welcomed after a long day of travel. Tip if you decide to stay here. There’s a power strip behind the microwave we temporarily plugged in to the left of the wash machine to use for hair styling tools closer to the bathroom mirror. It worked perfectly! We would stay in this cottage again if we came back to the area. If you happen to be in the area, watch for the cows roaming the streets. It was quite a treat to see that. We especially enjoyed the Highland cows on the commons. And make a stop or more to a restaurant called The Kitchen. Asumpta, the owner, makes you feel like an old friend. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this cottage and Minchinhampton in general. It was just what we needed.

One of the most beautiful and well looked-after rentals I have ever stayed in.

This unique cottage has been modernised and decorated to a very high standard with great attention to detail. We found it very comfortable. The stairs up to the bedroom need caution as highlighted but this is part of the charm. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Situated perfectly for strolling into lovely Minchinhampton village as well as rambling up on the common and around the other nearby villages. The beautiful and very private garden was a great perk as was the gas stove for warming up the living room quickly on rainy evenings. We didn’t have any problems with parking nearby. We found Dianne to be proactive with contact and were reassured she was on hand to help if needed. We found the water pressure in the bathroom a bit low but everything worked fine. The kitchen was very well-equipped with high end appliances (not that we did much cooking!). Our dog loved it too and was extremely welcome everywhere we went in the village and local area. Thanks again for the lovely treats for all of us on arrival and for a really memorable stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Spring Cottage.

The place really feels like home, we didn’t want to leave! Andy and Angela have put a lot of time, effort and money into making this period property luxurious and inviting. Only being recently renovated, the cottage was super clean and fresh, and you can tell has been renovated with a lot of thought and to a very high standard. The homemade cake and bottle of fizz were a very personal touch for our New Years visit. Whilst staying we weren’t blessed with the weather but we hiked every day - we loved the Laurie Lee walk which passed right next to the cottage and had some great elevation. You must try the Woolpack for great seasonal food. We loved our stay, we just can’t wait to come back! One thing I would mention, that I feel the reviews and listing doesn’t mention is the spectacular views directly from the cottage. We were so impressed with the location and the rolling hills right in front of us, we would definitely make sure it’s included in future marketing! Thanks again for the wonderful stay! Alice and Ben

We absolutely loved it at Tump Cottage.

It was a last minute decision on the Thursday night, and booked for the following day. Lovely little village with lots of walks with the dog, over stiles and across fields. Did a 'mountain climb' in Uley, around Uley Bury iron age hill fort, which is only about 5 minutes drive away from Tump Cottage. Circular walk from Uley Church, and met quite a few hikers doing the same walk and a few just walking for leisure, like us. The Cottage was perfect, it had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the biscuits, crisps and cereal. We always take some of our own essentials (bread, milk etc) because you never know when you get to a place, whether the local shops will be open or whether you get there too late to get to a shop. The farm is lovely, chickens roaming around freely and doves in the barn. The lovely lady who does the day to day running of the cottages was really friendly and helpful and literally lives opposite, so no stress about trying to get hold of anyone if there were any problems. We would definitely recommend Tump Cottage.

This is beautiful place to stay.

It was spotless upon arrival - we met Angela on our way in. It is spacious, but cosy. The bedroom and bathroom are very well considered and comfortable. The kitchen was great, and we cooked a lot. Andy was on hand if anything needed attention - we had one thing and he sorted it immediately. These are very considerate and attentive hosts. The cottage itself is a great location and whilst on a road it’s protected by a large box hedge so it’s very quiet. Around the back in the garden there are plenty of birds so breakfast is very entertaining! There are also fantastic walks around the wider area. Supermarkets are not far away although I do think you need a car, or be prepared to get a taxi. Depends on what level of shopping you’re doing! Andy and Angela also left delicious treats for our arrival which was a delightful welcome. It was a lovely stay and we hope to return over the warmer months.
