What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Hayes - Verified booking

Beautiful, cozy and comfortable cottage. It would not suit everyone as it has steep uneven steps that the photos do not portray. There are no rails and at night the light would not show up the top to guide you down. There is a drop by the door at the side of the steps that both dogs and children could easily fall from. There is a gate that goes over the top between the wall. It does not fit well, but does enclose the top grassed garden area. Beds were comfy and kitchen had all you needed. It could do with a proper curtain or blind in the double bedroom as the sun wakes you up early in the morning. The cottage was well equipped and in a good location. You need to be good at reversing and parking as the parking area is quite tight and involves a few maneuvers to get in/out. There are some amazing walks on the doorstep. It is ideal for exploring the gardens of Cornwall and easily assessable for beaches. There are so many beaches, gardens and pubs that are dog friendly. There is a lovely dining room as you enter the cottage that is fab for taking coats, boots and drying the dog before going into the lounge. Most definitely be aware of the steps before booking, especially if dark evenings and wet weather are predicted.

Fantastic holiday cottage in perfect location. The upper floor gives perfect views of the pier and the sea rolling in. Happily spent time just watching that. There are some very steep stairs to the attic room however so need to be aware of in case there are any mobility issues. The cottage has everything you need come rain or shine and the quality of everything in the cottage was excellent. Cottage cleaning adapted to ensure all Covid safe. Location was perfect, right near the harbour and with beautiful walks on your doorstep. Good bus service if you want to explore further afield but don't want to take the car. No parking at cottage but street parking round the corner with no issues taking up resident spots etc. On arrival easy enough to ramp up outside cottage to unload then park up when done.

We had a lovely stay at Fair View in December. Location is great - close to the town but with a lovely sea and beach view from the attic room (our favourite room). You can hear the waves crashing from the bedroom, and a lovely bench out front to sit and people watch. There is no parking but we were able to easily park just behind the house after we off loaded our luggage. Lovely and cosy on ground floor, bedrooms luxurious and as mentioned - the attic room a perfect place to relax whilst watching the sea, surfers and wildlife in the warm and dry. We will definitely return again.

This property has a great location this is the second time we have stayed & will probably do so again. If you want comfort, super fixtures fittings then this is it . Porthleven is a beautiful friendly eat & drink your way round the harbour or go to the Atlantic Inn one road back what a great pub restaurant. If cooking is your bag & you like fish we do there is a local fish monger with straight out of the harbour daily stock, it doesn't get much better.

Our first stay at The Parlour, we have had a fantastic week here and will be back. Cornwall is our 2nd home and always pulls us back. We have visited Pressingol Barns 31 years ago on our 1st holiday together and it has been fab to see how the barns have been updated to how they are now. 31 years ago we fell in love with Cornwall and have been back as much as possible since. What a wonderful place to stay and location. We will be back! Thank you again <3
