The apartment, was spacious, well furnished, well stocked ,with kitchen equipment, towels, hand wash in each bathroom, and kitchen.
A nice Sony TV, an assorted collection of DVDs, for all ages, comfortable sofas, and armchairs, made the evenings enjoyable ! The front windows, facing the balcony, are in need of a little planning, to enable them to be fully closed, it was difficult to engage the catches, which eventually will become detached, and are very draughty ! The electrical socket, in the middle bedroom, supplying power to the 'Wi-Fi', is loose on the wall, and the other, in the 'Dining Room', although secure to the wall, is missing a screw, to the 'Front Plate', making it loose, also, when operating the 'Glen' heater, the plug becomes hot ! These issues aside, we had a very happy time at 'Clarendon House', a mixture of, old rustic charm, with modern facilities ! Had the weather been warmer, evenings could have been spent, on the balcony, fully enjoying the setting sun ! But hey, one can't book the weather ! We would consider, booking again !

Me,my wife Di, daughter Jess, son in law Sam and grandson Max stayed at Sail Loft the week of August Bank Holiday.
We had enjoyed a fabulous stay at Sail Loft in July 2023 and we had agreed that if circumstances allowed , we would like to return in 2024 which we did. We all agreed that our stay in 2023 was the best property we have ever stayed in and we have stopped on plenty of great properties over the years. The property is very luxurious in a great location , the fixtures and fittings of the highest quality , situated just a few minutes from Town and a good base to travel to other holiday places across South Devon. A good pub called Smugglers Inn a few minutes walk away with views of the sea serving excellent meals is well worth a visit. Already looking to return again in 2025 , would certainly recommend this property to anybody looking to holiday in South Devon

Great facilities, everything you needed in the Kitchen, should you choose to dine in and easy to follow appliance instructions. The owner information pack was extremely useful and accurate as was the information we received from the owners prior to arrival. We all really enjoyed relaxing in the garden when the sun allowed, itâs a real sun trap! Great location for exploring Devon, had some great walks on the south west coastal path, which was on the doorstep, and would recommend The Smugglers Inn for food and views. We had a great time at Sail Loft and would love to stay again and would definitely highly recommend! It made the holiday Perfect.

On arrival no heating on therefore extremely chilly, was very temperamental all week!
Ensuite window in double room didn't close properly so very cold in there too.not much pressure out of taps. Lounge curtains unable to close as the rail was very unstable, also windows sealed up with newspaper! Curtain in middle room hanging down.Touch light in twin room didn't work. Apart from bathroom mirrors only one other in the whole apartment which was over the fire place.Also think there could have been some sort of fire in the hearth, there was a gas log burner but this wasn't connected. All in all apart from the excellent location and cleanliness the whole apartment could do with alot of TLC. Not quite up to Sykes standard.

This is the best cottage we have stayed in.
A great welcome on arrival from Ali, Jamie,Eve and Stanley.the cottage is wonderful, Very clean and modern with a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances.It is set in a lovely big garden with fantastic views from your own private terrace,the bedroom is very large with en suite bathroom.The bed is to die for King size with deep memory foam topper so comfortable just like being at home great nights sleep.There is also a shower room with toilet and hand basin.The cream tea on arrival was very welcome,many thanks for a fantastic stay.see you next year,already booked.From Dave and Irene.
