What our customers say about their holidays

    • Samuel - Verified booking

A group of 20 of our friends stayed in the house over 2 days on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th January to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday.

We had all travelled up from Manchester and the size of the house with the number of rooms and amount of space fitted our group numbers absolutely perfectly. We all had a fantastic time. The rooms were really clean and spacious. The large living room and dining area was perfect for our stay as it provided enough space for us all to have a good time and the large kitchen area allowed was perfect was cooking and relaxing in. I received a nice introductory message from the owner Zhang will covered all essential points and things to consider which was extremely helpful. Also, the on-site Assistant Manager Kev was a brilliant help to us on two occasions when we required the heating to be switched on on the Friday night and then on the Saturday night when one of the room’s doors locked itself from the outside. I messaged Kev to ask for his assistance on both occasions and he was extremely professional and helpful and was travelled immediately to the house to help us. I’d like to commend Kev for all of his help and support. These were the only two minor issues during our stay but they didn’t affect us all have a brilliant weekend. Overall, my wife really enjoyed her surprise weekend away and she had a brilliant time and I would highly recommend staying at this property for parties of more than 15 guests.

Sea La Vie is a very comfortable, cosy, beautifully renovated and decorated holiday home from home.

All creature comforts have been thought of by the very friendly and accommodating owner Nic. Very warm, owner keeps it at a very good temperature and was happy to increase it a bit when temperature dropped on first night (outside ). We had a really good weekend stay. Very well equipped large spacious kitchen and comfortable dining/living area. Liked the flat screen, there’s several throughout house to accommodate all the guests. The upper gallery living room is stunning and great for amazing sunset/rise views. Double en-suite and kitchenette is well thought out. Lovely big walk in shower which was good for anyone who finds climbing in and out of a shower over bath. We all enjoyed our rooms and stay. Will definitely book again. Great location right on St Anne’s on Sea front. Good amenities close by, The Beach Cafe and Lytham restaurants. Lots of places of interest to visit, like George Fornby’s house. Great shops in Lytham too. Thank you Sea La Vie, Nic.

Our family stayed at this property to celebrate a birthday, with a mix of adults and children.

Prior to arrival, Paul contacted me in the week before we came and let us know all the info we needed to gain access. He also met us on arrival to go over everything and offered some helpful advice on local attractions, bars and restaurants. The house itself was spacious and had everything we needed. All the rooms were clean and tidy and the number of bathrooms were great for a large group. The roof top garden was a welcome space as we were very lucky with the weather. We had some young children and my only advice would be for the owner to invest in some new panelling and gates to ensure safety in this area; we supervised the children at all times, so it was fine, but it would give extra peace of mind. Paul was very attentive throughout our stay and kept in contact to see if we needed anything. The card and chocolates on arrival were a lovely touch! We would definitely stay here again

We arrived to the property and the owner was in the home which he admitted had not been cleaned as his 'help' had not arrived.

There were hairs in the ensuite sink, crumbs and dog hairs throughout the entire property and the kitchen sink and worktops had not been cleaned. The ensuite shower cannot be used as the water does not get hot. The barbecue had not been cleaned. There is a broken chair on the patio which cannot be used as it isn't safe. There was a blockage within the manhole cover which caused the downstairs to become flooded via the toilet with waste water soaking into the carpet. The owner left us to clean this up after the flood and did not check on us at all after he had arranged for the blockage to be cleared. We were charged for the drainage company costs and money taken from our account without our consent. The blockage was blamed on us with no proof that we had done anything to cause it

      Huge disappointment.

The property smelt badly of damp and mustiness mainly due to internal windows opening on to a blocked off conservatory, which was filled with junk. We also had to re-wash a few of the towels as they smelt too. Whilst the property is well maintained, not all areas were thoroughly cleaned - build up of dust on skirting boards etc. Sadly our main issue was the functionality of the lay out. As we were unable to open the internal downstairs bedroom window due to the awful smell, the bedroom was unusable. We had to move mattresses upstairs and slept in the lounge. On the positives - this house is in a fantastic location, has plenty of parking, and the views from the balconies are some of the best in the entire area.
