    Thorpe Park’s convenient location makes it accessible for a number of visitors travelling from all across the country. Just 20 miles away from central London, you’ll find the park off Junction 11 or 13 of the M25.

    Travelling by car to Blackpool Zoo

    Those travelling to Blackpool Zoo by car will find the zoo easily. Set just two miles away from Blackpool’s famous Golden Mile, Blackpool Zoo is close by Stanley Park and Blackpool Victoria Hospital. You’ll find plenty of parking at the zoo and it costs £2.50 for the whole day so make sure you have the right change!

    Travelling by train to Blackpool Zoo

    There are two train stations in the town of Blackpool: Blackpool North and Blackpool South station. If you’re heading to the zoo, then we recommend travelling to Blackpool North station, which is just a five-minute walk from the town centre. From town, you can catch the number 2 bus towards Poulton-le-Fylde which will drop you off outside the hospital. Trains run to Blackpool from all across the country, with direct services from major cities like London and Liverpool.

    Those reaching the zoo by coach can catch National Express’s direct service from London to Blackpool. The services run frequently from Victoria Coach Station and take around 6 hours - a great transport option for anyone on a budget. Once you arrive in town, you can catch the number 2 bus which will drop you off close by the zoo.

    Blackpool

    South Pier

    One of the three piers in Blackpool, South Pier is home to nail-biting rides, an amusement arcade, lively bars and plenty of food and drink options. Play a round of pinball together as a family, before tucking into a tasty supper of fish and chips, with a round of candy floss for dessert.

    Blackpool Tower

    Opened to the public in 1894, Blackpool Tower was the tallest manmade structure in the whole of the British Empire at the time. Although other buildings swiftly overtook it, the tower remains one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks and is well worth a visit.
