What our customers say about their holidays

Thank you for the arrival gifts.

My wife, who is a vegan, thought bacon wasn't the best choice (what if the guests are Muslim, Jewish, and/or vegetarian/vegan?) but we were visiting friends in Newbury and left the bacon with them! I ate the eggs, and we enjoyed the apples. We had a trouble free week, except for the fridge, freezer, and rooter tripping off, and the hot water tripping off a separate time. We flipped the switches back up, and there were no recurrent events, thankfully. It was really quiet, which we loved, and despite the wettest of weeks had good views of red kites, jays and chiffchaff. Astonishingly, two young men from Hi-Low window cleaning service turned up on the wettest day of the week to clean the windows! The workers got soaked - the windows were already soaked!

Wonderful place; lovely, peaceful and natural setting.

Quiet. Well equipped. My friend and I stayed 3 nights whilst we walked some of The Ridgeway and was ideal location for that. We both wanted a good soak in the bath after our walk days and I had chosen this property over others because it had a bath. This was the only disappointment. The hot water would not adequately fill one bath without running tepid, let alone two baths consecutively. You feel a bit daft when most of you is above the water line so was unable to linger and relax. Although the owners did suggest a remedy, this didn't really work. First world problems I know but worth mentioning. I would stay again though :)

We had the most amazing stay at the Barn over Christmas.

It was lovingly decorated, equipped with absolutely everything one may need and immaculately clean. When we arrived we were met with a roaring log fire, a bowl of fruit and fridge stocked with essentials. The location of the Barn is excellent - slightly tucked away, but still in close proximity to all the beautiful landmarks - Marlborough high street with variety of shops and restaurants, Avebury Manor and henge and Silsbury Hill. The owners are very welcoming and super responsive, but also unobtrusive. All in all, we had the most enjoyable time there and are hoping to stay there again in the future. Highly recommended!

9 Acres Barn is beautifully situated for a holiday exploring neolithic Wiltshire and the chalk downs.

We have had a wonderful holiday in this comfortable cottage. We have particularly appreciated the peace and quiet and the well equipped, comfortable cottage. The cottage feels clean, spacious and bright. Please note that if, like us, you are planning to self cater during your holiday, the kitchen does not have a fridge freezer as detailed but a small fridge with an ice box. The double bed is a small double. Thank you for a fantastic week.

      Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Property lived up to description and more, inside and out with plenty of parking. Wonderful location for my Husband, myself and our Son to be with our eldest Son and family who have just returned to their house in Marlborough after two years working in France. Our thanks also for the welcome items in the fridge and kitchen. We look forward to booking again.
