We had a perfect 3 week holiday in a perfect house, Church View, in a perfect town, Rye E.

Sussex. The kitchen and bathroom have modern, contemporary fittings and equipment. The kitchen was generously supplied with utensils and food staples. There was more than enough thick and luxurious towels. The owners provided an extra cleaning mid way through our stay at no cost. Church View is small and fairly presented in the photos and is sufficient for two adults. The main bedroom had a comfortable bed and enough storage. As advertised, stairs to upper levels are steep, with narrow steps; care must be taken when descending. The top floor bedroom with twin beds is a bonus but 4 people in the house would be crowded. Units on both sides of Church View are short term rentals. We heard noise and conversations clearly from both sides. The owners agreed to intervene if we had made a complaint. The single dining table should have four smaller chairs that fit better around the table; we entertained several friends for meals and it was difficult to fit everyone in. This adorable cottage had everything I wanted to make my stay very warm and comfortable. It has the most beautiful view over Winchelsea beach towards Fairlight in the distance and it’s even more stunning at night with moonlight! The locale of Rye is very beautiful especially now all the Christmas lights are up in the high street and in the windows of houses! I also wanted to explore Romney marshes, Rye harbour, Brighton, Hastings, Battle and all of that was very accessible from very close to Harbour cottage. Right now I’m planning my next stay at Harbour cottage!

Orchard House is a great location just outside of Rye and in good proximity to local pubs. We found it a good place to be with with 4 under 5 grandchildren, spending most of our daytime in the kitchen/dining area. The grandchildren loved watching out of the huge windows for the trains, construction vehicles and windfarm. The views across to the windfarm and Dungeness beyond is glorious, the view is the thing we have missed most since coming home! Good selection of games and toys for young children.

This Harbour Cottage is a unique property in that its interior has not been updated in some time which gives it a quaintness and old worldliness that adds to its charm. It is reminiscent of visiting the homes of older relatives in years gone by. It is why we like staying here. The location is perfect. The views are wonderful. The bedrooms are very clean and well kitted out with crisp fresh linen. It is a privelege to stay in such an unspoilt location.

A delightful 18th century cottage with all mod cons tucked away down a footpath passage off the bottom of historic Mermaid Street. Absolutely quiet hideaway yet a few minutes from the High Street. Small but beautifully presented inside and could not be faulted. The owner was very helpful with welcome notes and when contacted re the key. Everything went so smoothly. Snug and warm in Winter as well! Will definitely stay again.
