    Skelmorlie Holiday Cottages

Characterised by its red sandstone buildings, Skelmorlie has been an established village since the 15th century, when Skelmorlie Castle and its tower house were built by the Clan Montgomery. Today, it's popular for its charm and surrounding scenic countryside, creating a lovely atmosphere. There are lovely independent shops, great eateries, and a history trail in the village. The listed Skelmorlie Measured Mile is an original example of a Royal Navy measured nautical mile, used as the range for speed trials of warships and merchant shipping trials.

Our Skelmorlie holiday cottages range from cosy and company to light and spacious. Many of them come with beautiful views, over pretty gardens or of the starry sky. We love the dog-friendly Glenfiddich holiday cottage in Skelmorlie, which offers beautiful coastal views from its terrace. Filter your Snaptrip search by property feature to find accommodation that’s pet- or family-friendly or even has a hot tub or swimming pool.

Holiday cottages in Skelmorlie can be booked through Snaptrip and — as all of our cottages are covered by a best price guarantee — you can be sure you won’t find cheaper elsewhere. What our customers say about their holidays

    • Miss Nimmo - Verified booking

I had booked this gorgeous property for my mums 60th birthday. From the offset the host Hannah was very accommodating, she passed over contact details for a caterer so we could really relax when we got there. Grassyards and the land around the property are absolutely outstanding. Every room was beautifully laid out with robes/slippers and towels. There was complimentary cakes on arrival along with a bottle of bubbly. We were truly over the moon with the efforts gone into our stay. Perfect for our full family and pets. We will 100% be back!! Thanks to Hannah & her family x

WOW. Perfect! Immaculate house that is furnished to an extremely high standard but very homely at the same time. We GENUINELY couldn't fault this property. When we arrived Hannah was there to greet us and run throught the house and how everything works. The best reception we have ever had in 20 years of visiting Scotland. The garden is hugh and dog friendly with an excellent outdoor entaining area. Local dog walks and only about 3 miles to Largs. The pictures do not do it justice - Book it now.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! We would throughly recommend Grassyards. We all had a wonderful time. It was honestly the best holiday rental we have ever been to in the uk in every respect. The owner has a meticulous eye for detail. Better than many 5 star hotels and resorts that we have stayed in. There were 7 of us, ages ranging from 3 to 73 and there was something to keep everyone entertained, either visiting local attractions or just staying in and enjoying the amazingly well stocked home! Loved it.
