Stirling is a historic town in Scotland, situated between the Highlands and Lowlands. The town is renowned for its castle, which was once the home of Mary Queen of Scots. In addition to Stirling Castle, there are a number of other great attractions such as the National Wallace Monument, the Old Town Jail and the Smith Art Gallery and Museum. For those interested in outdoor activities, there are several golf courses and hiking trails in the area.

Here at Snaptrip, we have a great selection of Stirling holiday cottages. From traditional stone-built properties to large country houses that are perfect for groups or families. Everything was perfect for our stay, including the weather!

The house is in a lovely setting, close to the river and very quiet, yet only a few minutes walk to the train station and centre of Stirling. It was spotlessly clean and spacious with nice decor and personal items, and very comfortable furniture. The kitchen was probably better equipped than mine at home, and we had the use of really nice china. Beds were extremely comfortable which was very welcome after walking all day, with nice bed linen. Brilliant shower. The little enclosed yard outside the back door is a delight, full of lovely plants and pots. Had the weather not been so good I would have happily spent a few hours going through the extensive book collection! We had lots of fabulous days out; to the Ochil hills at Alva glen, Callander and Queen Elizabeth forest park near Aberfoyle, Dunblane, Stirling University, Blackness Castle and the walk through the forest towards South Queensferry and Dollar with the climb to the castle. We were spoilt for choice and were captivated by everywhere we discovered. The house is in a truly great location for exploring and a delight to come home to.

We had the most wonderful stay at Ronald Place.

It's a beautiful house, very clean, comfortable and spacious. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the garden was really lovely. Absolutely stunning view of the Wallace Monument from the master bedroom too. The location was brilliant, a very short walk from the train station, town and supermarket - and in the other direction a 10-15 minute walk to Cambuskennth Abbey which was lovely. We felt very well connected, but it's still a lovely quiet place. We would have no hesitation in booking here again and hope to be back soon! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our stay at Ronald Place was perfect.

The address is very convenient to the city centre and all the restaurants, shops and pubs - only a 5 - 10 min walk. Also the train station and very inexpensive electrical car charger points were close by. We always found available street parking when needed. Inside , the property was very clean, spacious and well equipped. There were some great little touches adding to the obvious effort the host had made. I would recommend it to a family of five or three lads (as made up our group.) I suspect we will stay again next year. Thanks.

      Spent a lovely week here.

Ideal location for walking into Stirling and had a view of Wallace monument from bedroom. Well equipped kitchen. Would have loved to have spent time reading the extensive book selection but didn’t get the time. Was a bit worried about street parking but found space in road each time, there is a designated space outside house but this was used a few times but someone else!! Lovely touch to have some dog treats left by owner, we had forgotten to bring some. Neighbours very nice and friendly.

We had a lovely family time at Ronald Place.

Both grandchildren aged 7and 3 loved the house especially the big space upstairs. They both did not want to leave. The owner Tricia kept us updated and was extremely helpful. The house was like home to home everything you need and use daily was there. As we travelled up from England by train the location of Ronald Place was ideal. We were a short walk away from both train and bus station enabling us to travel to various places and we were also a short walk away from the town centre.
