What our customers say about their holidays

    • Susie - Verified booking

We have had a great week.

The location is wonderful and we can see why the owners love this place so much. It was also really easy with our dogs and four teenagers (although the bunk beds really are more suited to small children). The bedrooms are very small but cosy. The doors are also very low which meant the two tallest family members knocked their heads on the frames quite a lot! The kitchen is well equipped - the only thing we really missed on the first morning was a way to make decent coffee so we bought a cafetière which we have left in the cupboard. There is also a slight problem with the guttering above the conservatory roof that was dripping all day & night, on the day it rained, just outside the bedroom window and was loud in the conservatory. We hired kayaks and paddleboards for the week which were delivered to the house and well used by our teens. Wonderful to be able to walk down to the beach every morning and evening and spot wildlife whilst the kids were on the water. The house certainly grew on us as we were there, we have enjoyed spending quality time as a family and would recommend it as a fantastic base for anyone to explore from.

From the moment we came through the door we smiled .

It smelled so fresh and clean and indeed it was. The cottage is so beautifully decorated and comfortable with so many lovely features. There was absolutely nothing we needed that wasn’t there. The kitchen was so well equipped with good quality appliances ,crockery etc We enjoyed using the secluded and sheltered garden and often sat out with a cuppa or wee glass of wine! The cottage is situated so close to handy local supermarkets and The Benllech pub which had a lovely beer garden and served tasty food at reasonable prices . The beach is just a short walk downhill and is stunning! We found it really easy to visit local places of interest too . We met owner Ruth who was really lovely . We thanked her for the super tasty lemon drizzle cake which my husband reminded me was a sharing cake! Ruth had the cottage stocked with the cake , milk , lovely flowers , cleaning items , hand wash and toilet rolls which was really useful . I’d fully recommend this cottage to anyone thinking of visit the beautiful island of Anglesey.

We stayed at the cottage in early August, with my husband, Mum & 2 girls aged 2 &4.

The house is cosy and was very clean. The kitchen is so well stocked, lots of crockery & great mugs for a brew in the morning! The conservatory is lovely and great for reading in the evening, the sofa is lovely & comfy. The garden is beautiful, it has a special vibe, very private & gets the sun all day. We loved the secure off road parking which was very safe & great for unpacking after a day on the beach. The bedrooms are cosy & the beds are so comfy! Plenty of room to hang your clothes. You are provided with lots of lovely huge soft towels. There are plenty of cleaning products & a washing machine which was great! There was hot water at all time. The road the cottage is on was nice and quiet. Great location, walk to pub, little beach, great for walks on costal path, my husband walked to Lligwy beach a few times with our dog & it took 30 minutes. I’d highly recommend a stay at this lovely cottage! We didn’t want to leave!

What an absolute wonder of a cottage!

We had a fantastic holiday here in the summer, and would go back again in a heartbeat! The cottage is beautifully quaint and a bit of a Tardis - rooms galore, and all nicely spacious, yet it still felt very cosy. If I could have taken the big sofa in the conservatory home with me, I would have - the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and had every conceivable thing we might have needed for a restful stay. In terms of location, again it was perfect - all the sights are within easy driving distance, and you can walk to a small shingle beach for a pub lunch. Also highly recommend a walk by the lifeboat building, with benches looking out to sea - very peaceful. The ideal place to stay with a dog - almost every pub was dog-friendly, and the cottage had a large, fully enclosed garden that was ideal for our little furball to explore. Perfect!

Bay View house was a pleasure to stay in, it was extremely clean and very well equipt, it was home from home for us.

Thank you for the goodies you left us, it was great to be able to have a cuppa and cake on arrival just what was needed. The furniture was clean and comfortable and well maintained the owners should be very proud. The views over the bay were amazing and it was a pleasure to sit out side and enjoy the great weather. The bus service was better than home we were able to get around without driving everywhere. The village had all the shops and resturants needed, Alex`s fish bar is recommended, good food and not over priced, Kens kitchen chinese take away is good value and the portions are huge far too much for one person. Sian was avilable if needed and was helpful with my query regarding the dishwasher thanks Sian. I would definitely stay again and would obviously recommend to anyone. One recommendation would be a hand rail in the shower cubicle otherwise everything was perfect.
