What our customers say about their holidays

    • Philip - Verified booking

We had a wonderful time at Bryn Eglwys Bach.

Everything was spotlessy clean. Loved the basket full of goodies and the fridge with milk & bottles of water was a nice touch. The hot tub was amazing especially when the cows came for a nosey. The cottage is in a very quiet & peaceful area with wonderful views over Snowdonia. The location is ideal and nowhere in Angelsey is too far away. Holyhead is only a 30 min drive and South Stack Lighthouse only 35 mins. Everything was just perfect. We enjoyed sitting out the front in the morning watching the sunrise with a morning cuppa of Welsh tea supplied by Carol & Mark. We did have great weather during our stay. This was our first visit to Angelsey and wondered why we'd never been before. There's so much to see and do. A week just wasn't enough. For a great meal visit the Four Crosses only a few minutes drive away. The Sizzlers are fantastic. We ate there twice. The Pili Palas Nature World which is nearby is also worth a visit especially those with children. Beaumaris which goes without saying is amazing, the castle, prison and courthouse are a must. Lovely pubs & shops in the picturesque little town with river cruises available at reasonable prices. We were spoilt for choice when it came beaches and opted for a day at Llanddwyn beach. Get there early as the car park does get busy however the beach goes on for miles with enough space for everyone. Go for a walk and you'll find several hidden beaches too. I was a little reluctant to write this review because we wanted to keep Bryn Eglwys Bach our little secret however it deserves this review and we wish Carol & Mark all the best in the future. Next time we visit Angelsey Bryn Eglwys Bach will be our first choice for accommodation. Thank you Carol & Mark.

We had a lovely week, the property itself has everything you may need (even oven gloves which I had forgotten) the furnishings, fittings etc give it a high quality luxury feel.

The added touches like toilet roll, milk in the fridge, fresh flowers when we arrived were lovely, there were even a selection of toys for the kids. The main bedroom is very spacious with a large en-suite, the twin bedroom is smaller but still lovely and benefits from a TV which our kids loved in the mornings. The hot tub was amazing, it was used several times a day especially by the kids, they also loved seeing the sheep and cows in the surrounding fields and amazing views of the mountains from the terrace. Anglesey is very picturesque with has so much to see, we especially loved the rockpools at Penmon point, crabbing off Beaumaris pier and visiting and walking up South Stack lighthouse. Would also recommend visiting Cable bay (rockpools at low tide) and Church bay. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Recently returned from this lovely cottage.

Due to its close proximity to the Britannia Bridge and A55, it is very well placed to travel to all locations on Anglesey, as well as onto the mainland, within a very short time. The cottage is very modern and beautifully presented. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival, and there was a welcome pack including fresh flowers, wine and coffee pods. The owners are very friendly and were always happy to chat, but they are not intrusive despite living next door. The rear terrace is a sun trap, with sun (in June) from about 9am until sunset. There is also a patio table and chairs at the front that is ideally placed to enjoy an early morning cuppa. The hot tub is fantastic and sparklingly clean; it is emptied and cleaned after every guest. We will definitely return next time we are staying in this part of Wales.

      Ah, where to start?

! Such a beautiful, clean and comfortable self-catering holiday property (with a washing machine and dishwasher). We stayed for 7 nights in Aug 2024 as a family of 4 and instantly felt relaxed due to the remoteness of the location (but still has so much within easy reach) and the actual home itself. It was extremely clean and modern and had everything we needed to prepare a packed lunches each day and a variety of meals throughout the week. The hot tub was a great treat for our children and for us after climbing Snowdon! Carol, the property owner is so lovely and helpful and even though they live next door - we very rarely saw her, only once during the week when she arranged a visit to check levels on the hot tub. You must book this :)

Thank you to Carol and Mark for their hospitality.

Amazing welcome pack of wine, flowers, Welsh cakes, coffee pods, tea, sugar, milk and water. On mentioning we had forgotten our own tea & coffee we were supplied with more. Cottage was clean, homely and was equipped with everything you could want and more you never dreamed you would want. The hot tub was amazing and just what was needed after walking. Plenty to do and see in the area, note if you want to see red squirrels the best place to do so is The Dingle, but buy some walnuts from the Asda before you go into the wooded area. Great place to stay and even though the weather was not great it did not stop us getting out and enjoying the surrounding area. We will definitely retun in the future. Thanks again Doreen & John from Bedford
