What our customers say about their holidays

    • Oonagh - Verified booking

It is a lovely cosy hut and great for peace and quiet which was exactly what I wanted.

The shower was blocked when I tried to have one so thankfully I had gloves with me and was able to remove 2 fistfuls of hair which sorted the issue. Some guidance on how to use the oven/hob would have been helpful. It was great to have free WIFI and and TV with a good selection of channels. As I was there for a week, it would also have been been nice to have had even one change of towels. These were only minor glitches that did not detract from my enjoyment of the stay. Sadly the weather did not behave so I didn't get the chance to use the fire pit.

      Very comfortable.

Small - fine for a couple - but provided everything we needed for our stay. Heating at the time of year we were there was perfectly fine - only really needed for an hour or two at night and warmed the place quickly. Good for those who came for a relaxing stay. Good value for what we paid for the week we were there.

A really lovely hut beautiful woodwork, but needed a welcome folder with information about the cooker, the shower, the TV and what was in the local area, other than that it all was very peaceful and a lovely place to stay

      We really enjoyed our holiday.

The Shepherd’s Retreat is very cosy, nicely decorated and had plenty of storage space. The location is remote and peaceful, a beautiful spot! Thanks
