We spent a very enjoyable few days with our mini dachshund in this delightful and exceptionally clean comfortable and well equipped cottage. We couldn’t fault anything. The Red Lion pub next door was very friendly and welcoming and the village of Myddle was ideally situated for visiting Shrewsbury’s attractions and beautiful walks along the River Severn. Dogs are welcomed into most cafes and pubs in the area and we wished we had been able to stay longer. We will definitely try to return.

On our way to the property we received a lovely welcome message from Alison with bits of info. The cottage is opposite the pub (had a meal there which was excellent) and technically in the pub car park, having said that the pub was busy but at no time did we hear any noise from either the pub or car park. The cottage is lovely, we were welcomed with a gift basket and warmth. The furniture is of a high quality and there is everything you would need, the upstairs bed is really comfortable and we slept really well. There is a tesco and retail park about 10 minutes away. We were attending a family birthday so didn't explore the area, however from previous visits to family there are some lovely areas nearby such as Ellesmere to visit. We will certainly stay here again.

For my friend and myself this property offered all we were looking and hoping to find. From the moment we arrived to the day we left every day was a delight. We will certainly return. For me the highlight of the stay was catching the bus at the stop outside the cottage into Shrewsbury and listening to the greetings as people got on and off the bus. They all knew each other and most said to the Driver see you Friday. What a joy.
