The Cow Shed is a spacious and beautifully decorated cottage in a tranquil countryside setting, perfect for families and groups. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful hosts, the well-equipped kitchen, and the relaxing hot tub with stunning views. The property is comfortable and cosy, with thoughtful touches throughout. While a few minor maintenance issues and some areas needing a refresh were mentioned, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found the property very clean and homely, with particular praise for the bathrooms and general tidiness. A few reviews noted minor issues such as chipped plates, a cracked glass, and suggestions for a deeper clean in some areas, but these were exceptions rather than the norm.
The rural location is highly praised for its beautiful countryside views, peaceful atmosphere, and access to walks and nature. The proximity to recommended pubs and a local shop is appreciated, though some noted the local pub was temporarily closed and a few footpaths were overgrown or blocked.
Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, spacious living areas, and a cosy atmosphere, especially with the log burner. The property is well-suited for groups and families, including those with children and dogs. One review mentioned a lumpy mattress, but this was not a common complaint.
The cottage is well-equipped with a large kitchen, hot tub, outdoor seating, and a bar area. Guests appreciated the amenities, though a few noted minor maintenance issues such as a slow oven, tired patio, and some chipped crockery. Overall, facilities are highly rated and contribute to a relaxing stay.
The hosts are frequently described as welcoming, helpful, and attentive, offering tours, recommendations, and even occasional thoughtful gestures such as fresh flowers or donations to guests' activities. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had the most wonderful stay here for my husbands 60th. He did'nt have a clue where he was going to but when we arrived he was very overwhelm by it all, he loved it there. All the family when 7 of us , Grandson and 2 dogs. It was so spacious for us all and we had had everything we needed there. The hot tub was so lovely and the log fire was so cosy. We loved all the decor , slept so well as so peaceful. Walks & pubs lovely , recommend booking both pubs .And the owners were lovely and friendly , we definietly want to go back ***

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Cow Shed. The cottage was great for a group with its large open plan kitchen and lounge area and the hot tub, with views of the countryside, was a lovely touch. The Cow Shed is within walking distance of a fantastic pub and there are some beautiful walks on the doorstep.

The cow shed is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful rural location. It is light and airy but comfortable and cosy at the same time. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great. The only thing that could have been improved would have been Better extraction fans in all toilets as no opening windows in any of them and a deep clean wood improve this cottage. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it
