Both the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales can be easily reached from Kendal, either by train, bus or car making Harwood Dale a super base for exploring both whilst on holiday.
Harwood Dale Cottage is a beautifully maintained property of unique character and charm and with a flexible layout suitable for those looking for space, comfort and ground floor accommodation. The two ground floor bedrooms have access to a second sitting room with direct access onto the beautiful, private gardens. Upstairs, the third bedroom is equally well presented and offers the same comfort and style. Also upstairs is the main sitting/dining room off which a private balcony offers stunning views across the countryside to Kentmere and the Lakes. An added bonus in winter are the views from the upstairs lounge, balcony and kitchen of Kendal Castle which is particularly spectacular when illuminated at night.

A lovely cottage, beautifully presented, set up and equipped. It was very comfortable and the balcony a delight even in late March. The view from the lounge was lovely. The host was very friendly and informative and the welcome pack outstanding. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the lakes and the Yorkshire dales. We didn't get the chance to explore Kendal and the local amenities but there was loads of information in the cottage. Thanks very much, we had a lovely stay.
