About this property

A beautiful renovated 400 year old stone/thatched cottage set in a peaceful mountain location with stunning views over the Caha mountains and Kenmare bay

An authentic, renovated 400 year old stone/thatched cottage is set in a peaceful mountain location with lovely views over the Caha mountains.

This rustic bolthole is beautiful with beamed cathedral style ceilings and simple eclectic interiors, it comes complete with the original inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. Outside there’s a large south facing garden for alfresco dining complete with great views. Accommodation is spacious and perfect for a get together with friends or family looking to stay somewhere special.

The location is pretty special too… It's just a 10 minute walk to a safe sand/pebble beach for swimming and picnics. Take a walk to the nearest pub for lunch (2 miles) or jump in the car and head to Kenmare with its excellent restaurants, music pubs, tennis and horse riding. We recommend visiting the Bronze Age stone circle, just a 10 minute walk from the town centre, this is actually one of the largest stone circles in South West Ireland. Kenmare has even been cited as one of Europe’s most beautiful small towns by CNN Travel. From here you.re well placed for touring some of Ireland’s most magnificent scenery on the Ring of Kerry or Beara Peninsula.Local attractions nearby include:
