    • The McBride family - Verified booking

      Wow where do you start!

We consider our selves so lucky to have found this lovely hideaway in West Cork. The local beach & pier were both a short stroll from the house ,both great spots for swimming . The children had such great fun exploring the woodlands , the elevated view from the patio area allowing you to keep a watchful eye . Outside has all you could wish for fire pit , BBQ, pizza oven , spacious seated patio area . We had so many great evenings, chatting around the fire pit. We can't wait to return for our next break

The location of this house is perfect!

This is our second year to come to Woodland Retreat & we will be back next year & 2025! We loved the comfort of the house , the hottub, the sauna, BBQ, firepit & outdoor seating for breakfast every morning . The location of this house is perfect for all the hiking , swimming & drinking we did! We loved the Tin Pub & Arundels restaurant. And luckily we got the most amazing weather for the week. The owners have been perfect hosts - we cannot thank them enough. Super hamper on arrival!

It’s a beautiful house I would stay again.

They say there is two steps into house on listings but one step is lot high step. So if your motorbility isn’t very good bear this in mind once you are in house can’t fault it for moving around. Beds are lovely and comfortable. Gardens are fab so much space for a 3 year, 7year.11years to run around. When it’s dry, they have toys for children to play with in one room
