Delicious meals can be prepared in the fitted kitchen, which comes well-equipped for all your culinary needs. Leading off the kitchen is a comfortable double bedroom which shares access to the ground floor shower room. As you climb the quirky spiral staircase, a mezzanine bedroom awaits you, which overlooks the sitting room and offers plenty of space and glorious mountain views. To the front of the cottage is a small patio area with furniture, where you can relax with a glass of wine and soak up the views of the impressive Gap of Dunloe in the distance. Beaufort Village is home to two welcoming pubs and a local supermarket, and is the perfect base for your Kerry adventures with superb access to all of Kerry’s attractions. Just a short drive away is the famous town of Killarney, home to the Killarney lakes, Ross Castle, Muckross House and Gardens, with plenty of traditional pubs, eateries and craft shops to sample. Why not put on your walking boots and set off along the many walking routes across the region? Day trips, include exploring the breathtaking Ring of Kerry, encompasses jaw dropping seascapes, stunning coastal scenery and delightful towns and villages along the way. Beaufort is a small village situated in a scenic area at the foot of the Macgillycuddy Reeks near the Gap of Dunloe. This is a great location for walking with stunning mountain views. The village has shops, pubs and restaurants, and is situated between Killorglin and Killarney, the latter being a mecca for holidaymakers every year with its wide open countryside, beaches close at hand, annual festivals and great night life, with traditional music played in many of the pubs and bars. A host of activities are available in the area including riding, walking, cycling, golf and fishing, and guided ascents to summit of Carrauntoohil, Ireland's highest mountain.
