Lovely little cottage next to the road. Great location for Bassenthwaite, Buttermere and Ennerdale. Very well equipped and lovely decoration and furnishings as very comfortable.

Lovely cottage on the edge of Bassenthwaite village, ideal location for visiting the more northern lakes and Keswick. Very comfortable beds, good shower and spotlessly clean. Nice pubs nearby - we tried the Sun Inn in the village and The Pheasant just a few minutes drive round the top of the Lake. Try to go to Bassenthwaite Lake cafe, set in the old railway carriages from the more recent Murder on the Orient Express film, best veggie breakfast I’ve had in ages.
