Dovestones is a well-received cottage in Keswick, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the luxurious touches, well-equipped kitchen, and cosy atmosphere. While parking can be challenging, the property's proximity to local attractions and thoughtful amenities contribute to a delightful stay.
Guests consistently note the property's immaculate condition and high standards of cleanliness, with only a minor mention of a pet odour on the sofa.
The cottage's location is highly regarded for its quiet neighbourhood and convenience to Keswick's centre, lake side, and Fitz Park, despite some concerns about parking.
Reviewers frequently commend the comfortable beds, cosy lounge, and overall homely feel of the property, with a single mention of a low shower for taller individuals.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-stocked kitchen and inclusion of a garage. However, points are deducted for maintenance issues like a loose curtain rail, a problematic shower screen, and a frying pan in need of replacement.
The property is appreciated for thoughtful touches such as spa-like towels and suggestions for child-friendly items. No gifts are mentioned, thus ensuring no expectations are set for future guests.

Beds comfy. Lovely decor. Kitchen well stocked for holiday cooking. Parking no problem in the main we were able to park outside or nearby. Would definitely recommend this house to others.

The bathroom vanity unit under the sink is tired thereâs obviously been a water leak. The selection of kitchen pots and pans was okay but there was a frying pain that needs to be replaced as the non stick layer was scratched and peeling, needless to say we didnât use it.Parking was a pain, youâre lucky if you can park on an adjoining street youâve got no chance of parking by the property which makes unpacking and packing difficult. This is probably the fifth or sixth cottage weâve stayed in, and as I said overall itâs lovely, the dining room table is just what you want to sit around, eat, drink and play card games. We look for large open plan areas where we can all sit down together.
